“Definitely, just keep it interesting I hate a boring tour guide.” I sassed good naturedly.
“Well in that case you better leave the tour to me.” Sébastien chuckled while pulling both Oliver and I to our feet. “Down this hall there are four doors the first one is Oliver’s room. The second door is my room. The third door leads to the bathroom. The fourth door is the storage room. I’ll let Oliver show you where the pilot sits. Everything I know about flying is what he taught me.” He showed a quick lay out of the ship. The lay out itself wasn’t complicated. It was just about memorizing doors.
“I do love showing off our ship.” Oliver stated as he showed the pilot and copilot area. “I’ve already shown you the map that we use to keep track of the places. One day I’ll show you how to fly it if you’re interested.” He replied after showing the various lever and buttons on the panel. Then added, “So I have to ask. What’s it like on Earth my curiosity is killing me?” He asked while pulling up the map again.
“Well it would be nicer on Earth if people stopped destroying the Earth by waging endless wars just to make money. I haven’t been anywhere else but the photos are pretty and the research is fascinating. I’ve been doing what I can to study space but technology on Earth is lacking to say the least.” I shrugged speaking honestly trying not to dwell on how destroyed the Earth is now a days. I swiped at the screen until it revealed the uncharted space. “It’s amazing how much the two of you have been able to cover compared to the discovery of two galaxies by the people back home.” I remarked while suddenly feeling exhausted. “Thank you guys for showing me everything but I’m in desperate need of some sleep. I’m exhausted.” I paused to yawn.
“We don’t really have a guest bedroom. We do have spare blankets and pillows that you can use. You could sleep on the bench if you’d like.” Sébastien revealed.
“That’s okay I’m so tired right now that I’ll sleep anywhere even without pillows and blankets.” I answered while making my way over to the bench. Once I got back to the bench I sprawled out and was immediately consumed by sleep before either of them could speak.
