I woke up on my side with a blanket on me and my head on a pillow. When I opened my eyes the first thing I saw was the most expensive unbelievable dark black sky with smatterings of various colored lights. There were so many different colors that I had to squint to let my eyes adjust to the sight. I felt my jaw drop at the pure beauty I was staring at. Space. I gently brought myself to a sitting position while drinking in the view. I noticed that it no longer hurt to breath normally. I lifted my sweatshirt to inspect the bruises, whi to my amazement looked much better already. I let my fall while I took in more of the ship’s details. Next to the door we entered from there was a closet with a clear door to store space suits. I could see various styles of suits that I would assume to be space suits but they didn’t look like any style that I had seen back in training. I scooted myself down to the end of the bench so I could stand up to get a better look at things now that I’m feeling better. I saw Oliver in the pilot’s chair staring at the map so focused that he didn’t notice that I was awake yet. I glanced around to see if Sébastien was around but I didn’t see him. As I gazed at the stars I found myself slowly gravitating towards Oliver. While looking out the window I spotted a planet in the distance it looked like there were fluffy clouds covering the entire surface from this distance.
“Feeling any better?” Oliver’s voice asked from behind me.
“Loads better, thank you.” I answered while turing to him. “Is that the planet where we’re going to meet with Elizabeth?” As I spoke I gestured towards the planet with my hands.
A small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth before he replied. “Yes, you seem to be handling everything very well.” He commented while gazing at me.
I felt a laugh escape before I could stop it. “Really? I think I was in shock yesterday and thought it was all just a dream until I woke up in space again.” I paused for a moment, “However, eventhough I don’t know how I ended up on that planet back there I’m glad I did. I had just finished my training so I could be someone who explores space when they gave up on space travel. I have always loved traveling.” I revealed.
“Me too. I guess that’s part of why I ended up doing what I do. Another part is the pay of course.” Oliver agreed. “Did your training ever teach you how to fly a space ship?” He raised an eyebrow.
