Zizi (Part 11)

We managed to slide open the door without alerting the guards. We kept down the hallway towards the room where our weapons were being kept. As Nora placed her gloved hand on the handle of the door we heard the voices coming towards us.

“I hope they’re not coming this way.” She muttered as she made quick work of the locked door and let us inside.

“Better lock it behind us just in case they are.” I replied while trying to see through the darkness. As I was speaking I could hear the bolts click into place from behind me.

“Already did,” she sassed while giving me a smirk on her way past me.

I found myself smiling. Everything has changed over the course of these past months. Surprisingly, Nora and I have managed to grow close. It turns out we work well as a team. This is the final step of my plan if it goes as planned K.N.O.C.K.O.U.T will fall out of power. Thanks to Nora, I have the Mayor on our side now so he is ready to put an end to their actions

I turned on my flashlight so we wouldn’t accidentally impale ourselves on the various weapons in here. For example, the beam of light from my flashlight revealed the glinting blade of a giant ax leaning against the tower of shields. “Why would anyone store weapons like this? That ax isn’t even locked up.” I scoffed quietly letting out a chuckle.

“I think it’s a sign to leave it alone. “We can do better than an ax.” She replied nodding towards the back of the room. “I remember where they used to keep the good stuff.” She added in a whisper.

“Lead the way,” I replied with smile. I watch patiently as she walks over to a chest in the back corner of the room and opens it with ease. This has all been going surprisingly well so far. I wonder if-

The sounds of footsteps approaching the door caught my attention. I made eye contact with Nora to see if she heard it. She grabbed the bag full of various weapons out of the chest.

“We can get out through the vent system.” She replied, quickly. “Follow me.”

I heard the door creek open as we slipped into the vent system. I could hear three different voices come into the room as I was putting the door of the vent back in place. All we could do is hope no one hears us as we make our way out of the weapons room.

I woke up on my side with a blanket on me and my head on a pillow. When I opened my eyes the first thing I saw was the most expensive unbelievable dark black sky with smatterings of various colored lights. There were so many different colors that I had to squint to let myContinue reading “Waking Up in Space (7)”

“Definitely, just keep it interesting I hate a boring tour guide.” I sassed good naturedly. “Well in that case you better leave the tour to me.” Sébastien chuckled while pulling both Oliver and I to our feet. “Down this hall there are four doors the first one is Oliver’s room. The second door is myContinue reading “Waking Up in Space (6)”

“You’re doing great. It’s almost done. I knew I couldn’t be the only one who finds the scan ticklish.” Sébastien encouraged me with a smile. I looked up at him and noticed that he had incredibly unique opaque blue eyes. “Thanks.” I chuckled then winced. Now that my adrenaline had started to wear off IContinue reading “Waking Up in Space (5)”

“Is that what you two are calling it? Friendship?” Oliver teased while walking over to us after pressing a few more buttons. “Shut up,” Sébastien grumbled, while turning a darker shade of pink. “I’m just saying when they’re together they act more than friends.” Oliver sassed with a roll of his eyes as he satContinue reading “Waking Up in Space (4)”

“First time in a spaceship?” Oliver smirked on his way by me to take a seat at the front of the ship. Past his seat there was a huge window. Don’t get the wrong idea when I say huge. This window was the entire front of this ship. “Ahhuh,” I nodded while trying to makeContinue reading “Waking Up in Space (3)”
